The fund invests in fixed income markets of the United States. It primarily invests in senior, secured floating-rate loans, bank deposits denominated in foreign currencies, debt obligations of foreign governmental and corporate issuers, and mortgage-backed securities. The fund invests in fixed income securities operating across diversified sectors. It invests in fixed income securities with an average duration of 1.76 years and an average credit quality of least BBB–. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the S&P/LSTA Leveraged Loan Index. It was formerly known as Eaton Vance Low Duration Diversified Income Fund. Eaton Vance Short Duration Diversified Income Fund was formed on February 28, 2005 and is domiciled in the United States.
