Stefan Ingves, the governor of the central bank of Sweden, spoke on the risks of Bitcoin USD (BTC-USD) price dropping significantly, mentioning that trading the cryptocurrency is very similar to dealing in stamps and eventually it will collapse.
This is a typical view of many central bankers, who recently spoke on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. For example, Gabriel Makhlouf, the governor of the central bank of Ireland, made comments in February, projecting that all crypto investors should be prepared to lose all their investments. He compared trading Bitcoin now with trading tulips 300 years ago, noting that he would never personally invest in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin price ranged from $44,215.95 to $47,217.85 today after turbulent Tuesday and Wednesday.
