AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) and Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) released an update yesterday regarding the timing of the closure of AMD’s proposed acquisition of Xilinx. According to the announcement, there is good progress on regulatory approval for the transaction, however, now the companies estimate the deal to close in Q1/2022. Previously, it was estimated that all regulatory approvals will be finished by the end of this year. The companies noted that there will be no additional changes to the terms announced previously.
