Autodesk Reports Q4 Beat, Provides Outlook

Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK) reported its Q4 results, with EPS coming in at $1.50, beating the Street estimate of $1.44. Revenue was $1.21 billion, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.19 billion.

According to the Deutsche Bank analysts, management’s commentary on the demand environment cited an uptick from the previous quarter, with continued improvements in bid activity. Acceleration in Construction Cloud drives further confidence in the company's ability to continue to gain share within the Construction vertical, helping offset slowing growth within Architecture and Engineering. Direct channel was strong (up 30% year-over-year), highlighting the opportunity to continue migrating away from partners over time, benefitting revenue and margins over the medium-to-long term.

The company expects Q1/23 EPS in the range of $1.30-$1.36, compared to the consensus of $1.45, and revenue in the range of $1.145-1.16 billion, compared to the consensus of $1.16 billion.
