Ray Dalio, the founder of the world’s largest hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, shared his thoughts on Bitcoin in a recent interview. When being asked about the possibility of Bitcoin price hitting $1 million, which some investors estimate now, Dalio responded with a short “I don’t think that’s possible”.
He said he believes the price of bitcoin could not reach a very high number, stating a comparison between Bitcoin and Gold. There are certain amounts of both of these two assets, with $5 trillion worth of Gold in the market that is not being used for jewelry purposes or used by central banks, and around 2 trillion crypto market. And as he doesn’t believe that Bitcoin will be worth more than Gold, there is no possibility the crypto market could grow to the extremely high numbers that some investors anticipate.
