Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, recently created a poll on Twitter asking his 122.3 million followers whether he should resign as head of the social media platform. The poll ended with 57.5% of the over 17.5 million respondents wanting him to step down. In response to a comment suggesting that he had already chosen a new CEO and that he would retire as chairman of the Twitter board, Musk stated that "there is no successor" and that "the question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive."
Several people, including Edward Snowden, offered to take on the role of Twitter CEO in response to Musk's tweet. Snowden wrote: “I take payment in bitcoin.”
