iCAD, Inc. (NASDAQ:ICAD) reported its preliminary Q4 results, with sales coming in at $7.8–8.0 million, missing the Street estimate of $10.7 million. According to the company, the disruptions in quarterly revenue were primarily because of the surge of Omicron in December leading to clinical and administrative staffing shortages.
Despite the negative preliminary results, the analysts at Oppenheimer mentioned that they are encouraged by the company's decision to gradually implement a subscription sales model starting in Q1/22 and re-organize its sales functions.
