Kosmos Energy Outlook Ahead of Q4 Results

Analysts at Berenberg Bank provided their outlook on Kosmos Energy Ltd. (NYSE:KOS) ahead of the upcoming Q4 results.
The analysts expect the company to materially reduce its net debt in 2022, falling 20% from their year-end 2021 forecast of $2.5 billion to $2.0 billion at year-end 2022. Strong oil prices should also significantly improve EBITDAX (the analysts expect $1.2 billion in 2022 versus $600 million in 2021), contributing to leverage falling to 1.5x from 3.6x.
The analysts are encouraged by the improvement in performance at the Jubilee and TEN fields in the past 12 months, highlighting the increased confidence in the long-term outlook for the assets.
The analysts anticipate Q4 EPS to come in at $0.16, which is around 33% ahead of the Street estimate.
