President of Russia Vladimir Putin commented on U.S. dollar has a major competitive advantage being an international reserve currency, and the U.S. authorities are undermining it via increasing sovereign debt and boosting domestic inflation, while “making a big mistake” using the currency as a sanctions tool abroad. As all these may lead Russia and other countries to move away from the dollar, Putin admitted that cryptos can be used for settlements in the future, however, he noted that it’s too early to do that in the oil trade.
