Analysts at Deutsche Bank provided their takeaways from the conference call Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) held to discuss its decision to take Mobileye public in mid-2022.

First, the company’s primary intention with this transaction is to increase visibility (for both customers and investors) of the high-growth, high profitability Mobileye asset and to unlock the value therein, especially at a time when the ADAS/AV market is particularly attractive.

Second, the company is insistent that the purpose of this transaction is to drive shareholder value enhancement, rather than raising capital to fund its expensive IDM 2.0 strategy.
