Senate trading

The FMP Senate Trading endpoint provides a list of all the trades that have been made by US Senators. This information is required to be disclosed by the STOCK Act, which was passed in 2012 to prevent insider trading by members of Congress. The Senate trading endpoint includes information on the date of the trade, the asset traded, the amount traded, and the price per share. It also includes information on the Senator who made the trade and their relationship to the asset traded. Investors can use the Senate trading endpoint to track the trading activity of US Senators and to identify potential conflicts of interest. For example, an investor may want to be aware of any trades that a Senator makes in a company that they are considering investing in.
