Sector Performance

The FMP Sector Performance endpoint provides the performance of each sector of the stock market over a specified period of time. Investors can use this information to identify sectors that are outperforming or underperforming the market.
For example, if the technology sector has returned 20% year-to-date, while the industrial sector has only returned 10%, this may indicate that the technology sector is outperforming the industrial sector. Investors may want to consider investing in the technology sector if they believe that the sector is likely to continue to outperform the market in the future.
