The fund invests in the fixed income markets across the globe. It primarily invests in investment grade and below-investment grade government and corporate debt securities. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the Barclays Capital Global Emerging Markets Index, Barclays Capital Global Aggregate Index and a blended index comprising of 40% of the Citigroup World Government Bond Index, 30% of the JPMorgan Emerging Markets Bond Index – Global Diversified and 30% of the JPMorgan Global Bond Index - Emerging Markets Diversified. It invests in fixed income securities with average credit quality rating of BBB- or higher. First Trust/Abrdn Global Opportunity Income Fund was formed on November 23, 2004 and is domiciled in the United States.
