Unum Group Outlook Ahead of Q4 Results

Analysts at RBC Capital provided their outlook on Unum Group (NYSE:UNM) ahead of the company’s Q4 results, which are planned to be released on Feb 1.
The analysts made modest adjustments to their Q4 estimates (expected EPS of $0.94 vs. prior $0.99) to reflect expected Covid impacts. While claims severity may not be quite as high in Q4 vs. Q3, the company continues to be impacted by a younger average age from Covid deaths and ongoing short-term disability claims.
