Toyota is recalling over 100,000 SUVs and pickup trucks in the US due to a potential engine issue, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

  • Models Affected: The recall targets certain 2022 and 2023 model year Toyota Tundra pickup trucks and Lexus LX600 SUVs.
  • Cause of Concern: The culprit? Debris left behind in the engine during manufacturing. This debris could potentially damage the engine's main bearings, leading to a stall and a loss of power while driving.
  • Unknown Fix for Now: A solution is still under development by Toyota.
  • Next Steps for Owners: If you own one of the affected vehicles, you should be receiving a notification from Toyota in the mail. You can also check the NHTSA website (https://www.nhtsa.gov/vin-decoder) to see if your vehicle identification number (VIN) falls within the recall.
